The Company ("us", "we", or "our") operates the website and app (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data, and specifically the property details you give us, when you use our Service.

Your Property Details Are Confidential

We only use the property address and details you give us to generate the report you paid for. We do not use them to train any model, share them with any third party beyond the AI processing needed to generate your report, or retain them indefinitely. Order data and any working files derived from it are deleted within 7 days of report delivery.

If you want your order data deleted sooner, email info@homeauditreports.com after you receive your report and we'll confirm deletion.

Definitions

  • Service — The Service is the website and app operated by us, the company.
  • Personal Data — Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data.
  • Order Data — The property address and any related details (situation, property type) you submit to us at checkout for your audit.
  • App Data — Any data you enter into the app itself (mortgage figures, house comparisons, notes), which is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to us.
  • Usage Data — Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
  • Data Controller — For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Data and Order Data.

Information Collection and Use

We collect the following types of information to provide the Service:

  • Order Data — the property address and situation details you enter at checkout, used solely to generate your Neighborhood Property Audit Screening Report, then deleted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Personal Data — your name and email address, collected via the Stripe checkout.
  • App Data — everything you enter into the app (mortgage calculator inputs, house comparisons, timeline notes) is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to us and we have no access to it.
  • Usage Data — standard web analytics (IP address, browser type, pages visited) from visiting the site.

Use of Data

We use the collected data for these purposes:

  • To generate and deliver the Neighborhood Property Audit Screening Report you purchased
  • To send order confirmations, delivery notifications, and respond to support requests
  • To gather analysis so that we can improve our Service
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues

We do not use your Order Data for marketing, and we do not sell any Personal Data or Order Data to third parties.

Retention of Data

Order Data is deleted within 7 days of report delivery, as stated above. Personal Data (name, email, order records) is retained as needed for order history, support, and legal/tax compliance, and Usage Data is retained for internal analysis only as long as necessary.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using your Personal Data and Order Data is that we need to perform a contract with you (delivering the report you purchased), you have given us permission to do so by placing your order, or the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights.

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data and Order Data, may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Your submission of information to us represents your agreement to that transfer.

Disclosure of Data

We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service. We do not disclose your Order Data to any party other than what is strictly necessary to generate your report.

Security of Data

The security of your data, especially your Order Data, is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your Data Protection Rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your Personal Data, and to request deletion of your Order Data at any time by contacting us. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.

Service Providers

We use Stripe for payment processing and Resend for transactional email delivery. These providers have access to your Personal Data only as needed to perform these services and are obligated not to use it for other purposes.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date above.
